Annette Funicello, an American actress and singer. She was best known as one of the original "Mouseketeers" from the "Mickey Mouse Club.' Her singing began as a teenager and was popular for the smash tracks "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess." Annette was raised in Utica with parents who were Italian immigrants. The shy girl was a young child. After deciding to start a professional career in the business her first step was to start doing dance and performed. The mid-1950s saw her gain a significant amount of recognition through her performances in "Disney" sketch shows.
